The BL-229 has three major factors that make it adaptable and worth considering when purchasing a rising barrier…First--experience has taught AS that situations change. Boom (Arm) lengths can be changed without difficult mechanical assemblies and with only a slight variability in its very fast one second opening, operating speed. Other gate operators require difficult adjustments and replacement of springs, weights and balances making it hardly worth the effort. The BL-229 can easily be adapted to any length arm from 7 feet to 20 feet. Second—Switching the gate’s orientation from left to right once required additional parts, and laborious assembly time. With the BL-229, the switch has been calculated into the design and can be done with relative ease. Even with faster delivery times this easy conversion makes stocking gates something to consider. Third, is a combination of environment and aesthetics--the new BL-229 rising barrier is built to resist extreme weather, violent winds, sub-zero temperatures, snow and rain.
